Wright’s Agriculture is now equipped with a new grain cleaning and storage facility at Glebe Farm. We have also installed a colour sorter for removing ergot from cereals.
We are fortunate to have the support of the RPA farming transformation fund, adding value grant to contribute to a new build cleaning and drying plant.
McArthur Agriculture have just completed installing our new grain facilities at Glebe Farm. The new system will enable us to clean and dry more grain while also improving the Bushel weight.
The new system also includes a Satake Nirami 5 Colour Sorter, which will remove Ergot and wild Oats from the commodity.
We also offer grain laboratory testing which include moisture tests, bushel weights, nitrogen levels, Hagberg testing and much more.
The new cleaning plant will allow us to remove ergot and wild oats from large volumes of grain, improve bushel weight and dry down to storage moisture with the addition of a further 3500T of grain storage.
All grain is weighed and sampled when it arrives at the store. Tonnage, moisture, bushel and admix are recorded here. Grain is then dried and cleaned (if required) to the required moisture/admixture before being elevated and conveyed into the store. Grain is kept cool with ventilation ducts and monitored remotely with a Martin Lishman Barnowl Wireless system.
We have a full merchant spec laboratory with equipment which can test Protein and Hagberg which has revolutionised intake of milling wheat and malting barley
Please get in touch to discuss what we can offer.
